The Characteristic of Binge Eating Disorders

Have you ever heard about disorders binge eating?  People categorized having disorders binge eating when they frequently eat large amounts of food than normally people do. However, someone who eats large amounts of food does not always mean that a person has binge eating disorders. Most people with disorders binge eating are obese, and commonly happen in women. Usually obese people having disorders binge eating and often become overweight at a younger age than those without disorder.  So, if you have children be aware about their weight.

Symptoms of disorders binge eating

Most people with serious disorders binge eating can be recognised from several factors they have. First symptom of disorders binge eating is consuming the abnormally large amount of food. Second is the feeling of being unable to control how much is being eaten. When a person eats much more rapidly than usual, eats until uncomfortably full, keep eating even though not physically hungry, having disgust, depression, or guilt feeling after overeating also show that a person has binge eating disorders.  So, be sure to recognize all of these factors.

People with binge eating disorders are different with bulimia sufferer. Disorders binge eating does not engage in compensatory behaviours like vomiting, exercising, etc. Thus, people with disorders binge eating often gain weight because of accumulation of high-calorie and high-fat food. Besides, they also have a higher possibility in suffering from health complication due to being overweight. High blood pressure and high cholesterol are the most frequent effects.  Controlling eating behaviour is the good effort to avoid disorders binge eating.

Stop Emotional Eating

 

Emotional eating should be avoided that can damage the body. If you want to have a healthy body you need to stop emotional eating. What is actually emotional eating?  When people consume large quantities of food, it is not always defined as emotional eating problem. Emotional eating happens when the people eat in response more to their emotional need rather than in response to their hunger.  If you are really care about your healthy, now it is time to stop emotional eating.

 

How to stop emotional eating

There are several steps to stop emotional eating problem. The first thing to stop emotional eating is recognize what kind of hunger that you feel, whether it is physical or emotional. Usually people having emotional eating try to eat to get a comfort feeling from the emotional problems. If you think that it is the real problem, try to do something enjoyable. Talking to a friend or family is also a great idea to help you to stop the emotional eating.  Try to do something fun, such as listening to music or reading your favourite books.

Other thing to stop emotional eating is by avoiding unhealthy food. When you want to stop emotional eating, it is important to keep healthy food at home. By keeping only healthy food at home, you will only consume that kind of food. Exercise regularly is also great to stop emotional eating. Physical exercise will certainly increase your body more fit. This will help you to stop emotional eating problem. When your body is healthy, your mood will follow it, then you can successfully stop emotional eating.

Compulsive eating is addiction to food.  People suffering this eating disorder feel guilty because of too much eating.  These people are certainly over weight and they have to go through series of complicated physical and mental problem. People suffering are usually aware that their eating habits are abnormal

 Symptoms

 The main symptom of compulsive eating disorder is binge eating, or in other words is uncontrollable eating.  However, after over eating these people will go through strict diet.  For example, they may fast for certain period of times.  They also may skip meals and do hard exercise.  Moreover, they could force themselves to vomit in order to remove the food from the stomach.  Although compulsive eating is known to afflict the most number of people among all the eating disorders, the symptoms are often very mild so it is not detected until the situation is severe.

Causes

 The causes of compulsive eating disorder are much more likely influenced by psychological factors.  It could be a traumatic factor which can cause negative body image.  Others causes are perfectionism, Low self esteem, sexual trauma and problems in a relationship.  Research also reveals that compulsive eating disorder is caused by genetic factors in the family.

Complications

People suffering compulsive eating disorder would get tired very easily, even after simple work and activities. They also often feel nausea.  Research reveal that these people are highly risk in developing cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, nutrient deficiency and other heath problem and diseases.

 Treatments

Most people suffering compulsive eating disorder must seek help from a physician.  It seems very difficult to control this problem without help from an expert.
